  • KNOW THAT

Last July, while I was returning by bus from Olympia to Athens through Figalia, the journey took me from the slopes of Mount Lycaeon to the birthplace of Arcadian mythology.

For more than two thousand years of bloody wars, flagrant injustice and abuse of the power, poetic voices never lacked that kept alive in our culture the sincere call to harmony and simplicity of the ancient bucolic.

Tripolis is the heart and the administrative headquarters of the Peloponnese, with a geographical position that allows it to connect and develop synergies and events throughout the entire Region. However, above all, it is the Capital City of Arcadia, which is famous for its mythological wealth and natural beauty.

The Municipality of Tripolis intends to submit a candidacy file regarding the claiming of the nomination of the European Capital of Culture for the year 2021.

  • From Malouhou’s house up to the dovecote at the junction of Kalavryta and Opl. Sechioti, Tripolis has several building samples of architectural and historical interest. I do not know how much power we have as a group in the municipality, but the creation of an imaginary route between them and their emergence has been my lifelong dream.

  • Well ... there is the following idea! We would like to get together as many musicians as possible regardless of the instrument we play to create a video clip, in which we will make a potpourri of different songs of various genres (rap, artistic, rock, funk, pop, etc.), which we will blend.

  • I suggest that the feast of Tsakonikos dance is established.

  • How would you like the idea of constructing small pop-up parks, makeshift lounges (why not mobile amphitheatre-sitting places!), parklands, tennis and ping pong courts or playgrounds with swings and even pop-up libraries having booklets, cards, posters and plenty of greenery ... to be placed along the central pedestrian zones?...read more

  • ...there must be a call for the citizens to engage themselves in a participatory process. People will bring to light the city's history through their personal stories ... photos, narratives, and objects to activate a bottom-up search process of the cultural identity of the city.read more
